DESCRIPTION: Heartwood is cream to tan with a pinkish tinge. Grain is usually straight, sometimes wavy. Its texture is medium to coarse in lighter grades & fine in heavier grades. The wood is lustrous, with a cedar-like scent & is silicious.

BOTANICAL NAME: Aningeria spp.
WORKING PROPERTIES: Good nailing, screwing, gluing & staining characteristics; polishes to a very good finish.
USES: Furniture, cabinet work, high-class joinery, general utility & interior purposes, plywood, veneering.
