DESCRIPTION: Creamy white to reddish brown colors with a straight, sometimes wavy grain pattern. Longer rays than Soft Maple with a fine & even texture.
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: North America
BOTANICAL NAME: Acer Saccharinum
WORKING PROPERTIES: Can be difficult to work with. Moderate dulling effect on cutters. Reduced cutting angle required for wavy or curly grain patterns. Nails & screws require pre-drilling. Takes stains, glues & polishes very well.
