Bubinga is an very dense African specie also known as African Rosewood. The region is Cameroons, Gaboon, and the Congo. When feshly cut the wood is red to redish brown with purple veining. After exposure it becomes yellowish to medium brown with pinkish or redish cast. The stock is moderately hard and heavy it saws without difficulty and finishes well.
