DESCRIPTION: Color ranges from a lighter salmon pink to a darker brownish red. Appearance has been likened to both Black Cherry & Honduran Mahogany. Color tends to deepen with age. Has a medium texture & small to medium sized open pores. The grain tends to be straight & even. Few knots or other abnormal grain patterns.
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Native to the east coast of Australia & South America (Brazil)
BOTANICAL NAME: Eucalyptus urograndis (Eucalyptus grandis x E. urophylla hybrid)
WORKING PROPERTIES: Generally easy to work, though it can burn easily. Glues, stains & finishes well.
USES: Flooring, lumber, interior millwork, cabinetry, plywood & turned objects.
